Professional learning
Professional learning should be authentic for educators too.
Educators cannot be expected to create agency, connection, meaningful experience, and impact for students through professional learning built around passive compliance. Our sessions ask educators to examine real work, learn with one another, make decisions, create, test, and leave with a path they can use.

Possible learning experiences
The Four Dimensions of Authentic Learning
Build shared language, examine the learner and educator experience, and identify where Self, Connection, Experiences, and Impact could become stronger.
Make the Community Part of the Curriculum
Identify the people, places, practices, expertise, histories, ecosystems, institutions, and unresolved questions already available within a community.
From Projects to Authentic Experiences
Examine where a project remains a school-created simulation and redesign it around real context, purposeful relationships, genuine feedback, and meaningful stakes.
Rigor Beyond Recall
Design for transfer, application, defense, adaptation, revision, and performance without abandoning essential knowledge or direct instruction.
Designing for Agency and Impact
Create appropriate opportunities for student voice, decision-making, ownership, audience, reflection, and contribution.
Authentic Professional Lives
Use the Four Dimensions to examine educator agency, relationships, learning, experimentation, and visibility of impact.
